Sarah Cho is a playwright, filmmaker, and humorist from Santa Barbara, California. She is also passive aggressive. In 2011, Cho graduated from University of California Santa Barbara’s Film & Media Studies and Theatre Arts program where she garnered the Spirit Award, the Robert Potter Playwriting Award, and the Dorothy and Sherril C. Corwin Award’s Best Play for “San & Nic”. At 19, her short film “Mustache Maria” (co-writer and producer) received the Audience Choice Award at the 18th Annual Reel Loud Film Festival. It also premiered at the Los Angeles Women’s International Film Festival in 2009. In 2011, her one-act play “Trucks and Wings”, which she also directed, was produced through UC Santa Barbara’s Playwrights Circle and Cynics’ Theater.
Cho, an Iowa Arts Fellow, is currently pursuing her MFA at University of Iowa’s Playwrights Workshop and is having a fabulous time with her new queer friends.
